The building's fire alarm system and the fire curtain are linked by the EFCR22 system. This enables the fire alarm to trigger deployment of the fire curtain in the event of a fire scenario.
The EFCR22 will release the fire line when it receives a signal from the system, allowing the curtain to seal the proscenium opening by descending naturally. For total protection, the EFCR22 operates in parallel with standard fire curtain release stations and fusible links.
The device is fitted with a battery back-up, enabling it to operate in the event of a power failure.
Industry-typical single-use ETL devices are now replaced by the resettable EFCR22.
